Most photographers will tell you the best time of day to take photos is the ‘golden hour’. It’s the time at sunset where the sun emits a golden yellow light that produces warmth and subtle shadows that is great for almost any sort of photo you want to take. But, if you wait until after the golden hour, you get ‘blue hour’. At this time the sun is really low and just setting over the horizon. It’s at this time that the blue wavelength of light is energized and things that are just the right colors can seem to glow! The yellow leaf in this image was magically brought to life against the blue green colored leaves. It was an amazing but short lived sight that only lasted for about 20 minutes.
