The 3rd and final installment in my series on George Orwell’s novel 1984.
This image represent the Ministry Of Truth and the idea that people will wait to be told what to think. Nationalized Television, with government run networks already does exist in other countries, including Canada. Here this is represented by people lining up to watch the screens on the base of the Statue Of Liberty. Also notice the sponsor logos of those screens placed just above them.
The last bit of symbolism I will talk about is the dirt and rust running down the statue and onto the base. This representing the erosion of freedom that is occurring with each passing year.
This is available in a 16″ x 20″ format. (40.64 x 50.8 cm)
It is printed on matte poster paper to limit smudging and with UV resistant inks to preserve color fastness.
